48-Hour Working Week
A worker cannot work more than an average of 48 hours per week. This includes all overtime and time spent working for other employers. It is generally calculated over a rolling 17 week period. Special provisions apply to young workers and special case workers. It is possible to agree with a worker that they will work more than an average of 48 hours per week.
