Sickness and Absence: Holidays

  • Employees on sick leave continue to accrue statutory annual leave.
  • Employees can take, and be paid in respect of, their statutory annual leave entitlement while they are off sick.
  • Where an employee’s prearranged statutory holiday coincides with a period of sick leave, they can choose to designate an alternative period for the exercise of their statutory holiday entitlement.
