What is an Apprentice?
An apprenticeship offers an opportunity to receive training while in paid employment for anyone above the age of 16 who is not in full-time education. An apprentice is a type of employee.
The concept of an apprenticeship applies throughout the UK but there are separate regulatory systems in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
