Whistleblowing: public interest element of protected disclosures - Underwood v Wincanton Plc [EAT] 27.08.15 (Unreported)

An employment judge's approach to the public interest element of a protected disclosure under the Employment Rights Act 1996 s.43B had been too narrow. He was wrong to conclude that the public interest element could not be met where the disclosure concerned a small number of employees of the same employer.
