Whistleblowers claim OFGEM exploited national security law to silence them

Greg Pytel and a second anonymous whistleblower, formally employees of OFGEM, who independently raised concerns about potentially serious irregularities in projects, have claimed that OFGEM threatened them with an obscure gagging clause that can lead to criminal prosecutions. MPs and the whistleblowing charity Protect have expressed concern that OFGEM is abusing its position and exploiting a law that was intended to protect UK national security. A second hearing of the case will take place in October 2018.
