Whether communication of termination of employment contract - East London NHS Foundation Trust v O'Connor [EAT] 29.10.19 (Unreported)

A notification that an employee's role was coming to an end was not necessarily the same thing as a notification that the contract under which he was employed was being terminated. Whether the communication that the current role was to end amounted to a communication that the contract was being terminated on that date had to be determined in light of the wider context and all the facts of the particular case.
