UK first: Parents who lose a child entitled to bereavement leave
A new workplace right to paid leave for bereaved parents will be officially enshrined in law on 13 September 2018 as the Parental Leave and Pay Arrangements (Publication) Bill 2018 achieves Royal Assent. The new Act, due to come into force in 2020, will give all employed parents a day-one right to two weeks' leave if they lose a child under the age of 18, or suffer a stillbirth from 24 weeks of pregnancy.https://www.gov.uk/government/news/uk-first-parents-who-lose-a-child-entitled-to-bereavement-leave
