Uber faces legal challenge on classifying its drivers as self-employed
In a tribunal hearing being described as "the case of the year in UK employment law", Uber is facing a legal challenge from lawyers representing 19 of its drivers who argue that the terms and conditions of their work mean that they are not technically self-employed and that they should be entitled to a range of benefits that they currently do not receive.
