Uber accused of misleading its drivers that legal ruling does not apply to them
The GMB union has claimed that Uber is misleading its drivers by claiming that the London Employment Tribunal decision in Farrar v Uber that two Uber drivers should receive the entitlements afforded to employees as they were not self-employed freelancers, only affects the two employees who took them to court. Lawyers predicted the ruling would affect fellow Uber drivers and have implications for other workers in the so-called gig economy.
