Southern train strikes to commence after appeal fails

Southern services will be brought to a "complete halt" on 13 December 2016, after the Court of Appeal rejected a second attempt by Govia Thameslink Railway, the parent company of Southern Railways, to seek an injunction blocking strike action planned by Aslef for infringing rights under EU law.
