Sex discrimination and minimum height requirement - Esoterikon v Kalliri (2017) (C-409/16) [ECJ] 18.10.17 (Unreported)

Reference for a preliminary ruling — Social policy — Directive 76/207/EEC — Equal treatment of men and women in matters of employment and occupation — Discrimination on the ground of sex — Competition for entry to the police school of a Member State — Law of that state imposing a minimum physical height requirement on all candidates for admission to that competition. HELD that a criterion for admission to a police school which established a minimum height requirement irrespective of sex may constitute unlawful discrimination against women.
