Scottish nationalism should be protected under equality laws, rules judge
Judge Frances Eccles has ruled that support for Scottish independence is a philosophical belief akin to a religion and should be protected under the Equality Act 2010. She made the ruling in a case brought by Scottish National Party group leader Chris McEleny who claims the Ministry of Defence, his employer, unfairly targeted him because of his support for independence.
