Royal Mail seeks injunction to block planned strike by postal workers

Royal Mail will apply to the High Court on 8 November 2019 for an injunction to block a proposed strike by postal workers, claiming that the vote was unlawful due to "potential irregularities in the ballot". Royal Mail claims that members were being instructed to open their ballot papers at their delivery offices, in contravention of Royal Mail policy, and encouraged to cast votes in favour of a strike while in groups.
