Raising of stigma damages for first time on appeal - Small v Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust [EAT] 19.05.15 (Unreported)

Employment law – Tribunal procedure - Appellate jurisdiction – Unfair dismissal - Available remedies. HELD that an award of stigma damages following unfair dismissal was not an issue which ought to be raised by an employment tribunal as a matter of course. Therefore, an employee could not raise it for the first time on appeal.
