ONS finds that gender pay gap will not close until 2073
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the gender pay gap has narrowed to a record low, where the average female worker earned 17.9% less than her male counterpart, down from 18.4% in 2017, but the gap is closing so slowly that it will be 55 years before there is parity between men and women.https://www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/earningsandworkinghours/bulletins/genderpaygapintheuk/2018
