Official figures show record numbers of non-EU workers in the UK

The number of non-EU citizens working in the UK has reached an all-time high after the Government eased restrictions on overseas skilled workers, as official figures reveal a 5% rise in people born outside the EU in employment from 157,000 to 3.4 million, and a 3% rise in non-British EU citizens working in the UK from 81,000 to 2.37 million in the third quarter of 2019.
