New laws in offing re pay difference reporting - UK's biggest firms will have to justify pay gap between bosses and their workers
Under new laws to be laid in Parliament on 11 June 2018, listed companies with more than 250 employees will, for the first time, be legally required to annually publish and justify pay difference between chief executives and their staff. It follows concerns that some chief executives have been receiving salaries that are "out-of-step with company performance".Link to Press release
