National minimum wage: Government response to the Low Pay Commission's spring 2016 report
In response to the Low Pay Commission's spring 2016 report, the Government accepts in full the following increases in hourly rates for the national minimum wage from October 2016: from £6.70 to £6.95 for workers aged 21 and older; from £5.30 to £5.55 for workers aged 18 to 20; from £3.87 to £4.00 for workers aged 16 to 17; and from £3.30 to £3.40 for apprentices.Link to Press release
