Naeem v Secretary of State for Justice [CA] 09.12.15

Equal pay - Difference in average basic pay between Muslim prison chaplains and Christian chaplains. HELD that the apparent anomaly had resulted from the relationship between basic pay and length of service, and Muslim and Christian chaplains had different lengths of service because the former had only been employed by the Prison Service since 2002. It therefore did not amount to indirect race or religious discrimination.
