Lawyers warn that employers need to be braced for more claims following ethical veganism ruling
Legal experts have warned that the employment tribunal's ruling on 3 January 2020 that ethical vegan Jordi Casamitjana had been unfairly dismissed by his former employer when he had raised concerns that its pension fund was linked to animal testing firms, after finding that ethical veganism satisfied the tests required for it to be a philosophical belief, could open the floodgates to other claims with employees arguing that belief in vegetarianism, feminism, pacifism and even socialism should be protected.Link to article on Nexis
