John Lewis and Waitrose set aside £36 million for minimum wage regulations breach
The employee-owned partnership behind John Lewis and Waitrose has set aside £36 million after finding that it breached minimum wage regulations, and reviewing payments dating back six years, potentially affecting tens of thousands of present and former staff. In March 2017, Tesco reimbursed workers £9.7 million for payroll errors, and both Argos and Debenhams have also paid back wages in 2017.
