Injury to feelings award following unlawful discrimination - Sims v Lewisham LBC [ET] 04.05.20 (Unreported)
A teaching assistant, who had been falsely accused of misrepresenting her immigration status, was unlawfully discriminated against because of her nationality. The discrimination suffered was at the middle Vento band and she was entitled to an award for injury to feelings of £18,000 plus interest.
