Indirect discrimination case: requirements under Equality Act 2010 s.19(2) - Essop v Home Office (UK Border Agency) [CA] 22.06.15 (Unreported)

In order to succeed in a claim for indirect discrimination, it was necessary for a claimant to show not only that he was a member of a disadvantaged group for the purposes of the Equality Act 2010 s.19(2)(b), but why the relevant practice, criterion or procedure had disadvantaged him as an individual under s.19(2)(c).
