High heels and workplace dress codes: HC Paper No.291 (Session 2016/17)

A Parliamentary Committee report examines the existing legal framework governing discrimination at work and considers how well it works in practice with respect to women being required to adopt certain standards of dress by their employers. It also suggests a publicity campaign to make employers aware of their legal obligations with respect to discrimination at work. In conclusion, the report urges the Government to review the law applicable to dress code discrimination.
