The Equality and Human Rights Commission welcomes the Government Equalities Office consultation on sexual harassment in the workplace and makes several recommendations, including to: introduce a mandatory duty to take reasonable steps to prevent harassment and victimisation in the workplace; extend sexual harassment provisions to volunteers in organisations with paid employees; extend tribunal time limits to six months for all discrimination claims; and implement a campaign to raise awareness of rights and obligations.
