EAT decision re remuneration and salary sacrifice schemes - Peninsula Business Services Ltd v Donaldson [EAT] 09.03.16 (Unreported)

A salary sacrifice scheme under which employees could use gross salary to purchase childcare vouchers was not a benefit but was part of remuneration. Accordingly, an employer did not have to continue to provide the vouchers to an employee on maternity leave.
