EAT decision in Uber case re "worker" status - Uber BV v Aslam [EAT] 10.11.17 (Unreported)

The employment tribunal had been entitled to conclude that Uber London Ltd employed drivers as "workers", for the purposes of the Employment Rights Act 1996 s.230(3)(b). It had been entitled to reject the label of agency and the characterisation of the relationship between the drivers and Uber in the written documentation as not properly reflecting the reality.
