Dress codes and sex discrimination: what you need to know
A Government Equalities Office document sets out guidance for employers who set dress codes and the rights of employees and job applicants who may have to abide by them. It covers health and safety issues, reasonable adjustments for disabled employees, transgender staff, religious symbols and sets out examples of what may, or may not, constitute discrimination.
