Disabled worker wins record payout
An employment tribunal has ordered the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) to make a record disability discrimination payout of £4.7 million after AB suffered severe depression and psychosis after employees discriminated against her. She made more than 60 allegations of harassment and disability discrimination which began after she sustained nerve damage and was left disabled following a road traffic accident. The tribunal found she was the victim of unfair constructive dismissal. RBS's appeal was dismissed by the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
