Disabled clerical officer wins more than £250,000 for unfair dismissal
A clerical officer who worked for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust for 25 years, and who suffered from anxiety, depression and fibromyalgia, has won more than £250,000 after she was dismissed for looking up her medical records and those of her mother more than 140 times. After being investigated in 2016 after taking sick leave she was found to have knowingly broken hospital rules. Leeds employment tribunal ruled that her dismissal was disability discrimination.Link to article on Nexis
