Directive 2019/1937 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law
In Force: 16 December 2019. The purpose of this Directive is to enhance the enforcement of Union law and policies in specific areas by laying down common minimum standards providing for a high level of protection of persons reporting breaches of Union law. It sets out the types of breaches of law which are covered, the relationship with other Union acts and national provisions, conditions for protection of reporting persons, rules for internal and external reporting and following up on those reports, rules on public disclosures, protection measures and penalties.http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:JOL_2019_305_R_0002
