Court finds that a vicar works for God not his bishop

In Sharpe v Worcester Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd, the Court of Appeal decided that vicar Mark Sharpe did not have an employment contract with the bishop of Worcester. He was therefore not entitled to protection under employment legislation and his unfair dismissal claim failed.
