Council employees case sets precedent on holiday pay calculation
According to Unite, a "landmark" Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) ruling means employers will have to include voluntary overtime, standby, call-out and travel-time to work when calculating holiday pay. The EAT ruling in the case of council employees at the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley is the first to confirm that payments for voluntary duties should be included and sets a binding precedent which employment tribunals are obliged to follow.Link to article
