Companies could be compelled to publish ethnic pay gaps
Leading companies could be compelled to publish their ethnicity pay gap under measures to be considered by a Government-appointed commission into racial inequality. Current legislation requires businesses to publish only their gender pay gap. In the first official study of the ethnicity pay gap in 2018, the Office for National Statistics found "significant" differences between ethnic groups. Kemi Badenoch, the equalities minister, is to chair the review.
