Brexit preparations: advice letter to companies from Financial Reporting Council - Letter to firms: EU exit preparations

A letter, written in the context of ongoing preparations for the UK's exit from the EU, to Audit Committee Chairs and Finance Directors setting out some of the generic actions companies should consider in advance of Brexit. Covers areas including: determining whether employees need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme; checking whether businesses may face additional legal, regulatory or administrative barriers as a result of the UK becoming a "third country" in the event of a "no deal" EU exit; ensuring suppliers and customers have considered the impact of, and are prepared for, the UK's exit; engaging with local chambers of commerce or business advisor and attending a Brexit Business Readiness event; and corporate reporting.
