BEIS consultation on pregnancy and maternity discrimination re redundancy protection - Pregnancy and Maternity Discrimination: Consultation on extending redundancy protection for women and new parents

A Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy consultation seeks views on extending the current redundancy protection for women and new parents afforded under the Maternity and Parental Leave, etc Regulations 1999 to cover the period of pregnancy and a period after, an extension of 6 months. It also sets out more widely what the department is doing to tackle pregnancy and maternity discrimination, and explain the current law on redundancy protection. Comments by 23.45 on 5 April 2019.
