Be prepared to pay new National Living Wage, government urges Britain's bosses
The Government has urged UK bosses to take steps to be better prepared for the introduction of the new National Living Wage on 1 January 2016. They are required to: know the correct rate of pay for staff aged 25 and over; find out which staff are eligible for the new rate; update the company payroll in time for 1 April 2016; and communicate the changes to staff as soon as possible. The advice coincides with a poll which revealed that 93% of bosses support the new wage, with 88% believing it will lead to higher productivity, and 83% saying it will improve staff loyalty.https://www.gov.uk/government/news/be-prepared-to-pay-new-national-living-wage-government-urges-britains-bosses
