BBC presenter to appeal test case

It is understood Christa Ackroyd is to appeal the February 2018 first-tier tax tribunal ruling that found she was in reality an employee of the BBC and therefore not entitled to tax benefits. Ms Ackroyd was employed by the BBC through a personal service company like hundreds of other BBC staff. She was ordered to pay almost £420,000 to HMRC in the test case.
