Baker sacked after being jailed wins dismissal case
Joseph Carter's successful employment appeal tribunal case against Aulds Bakers. The employee, who had been dismissed after being convicted and imprisoned for dangerous driving, was successful in his unfair dismissal claim before the employment tribunal, establishing that his employer's disciplinary procedures had been unfair. The ET however did not award him compensation, a decision reversed by the EAT
