88-year-old claims age discrimination
Eileen Jolly, an 88-year old NHS secretary, has become the oldest person to sue for age discrimination after being dismissed over allegations that she failed to upload patient information on to the hospital computer system. She argues she had not been given adequate training, which led to an error impacting women awaiting breast reconstruction surgery. The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has admitted that her dismissal was unfair because she was not given the opportunity to appeal, but denies age discrimination.Link to article
