£1m payout by employment tribunal for victim of racial bias at hospital
In one of the biggest damages awards ever by an employment tribunal, an IT manager has won £1 million over his dismissal from a London hospital after it was found that his bosses had not properly investigated his allegation that he had been racially abused by a group of contractors who had been driving dangerously in a hospital car park. The damages included compensation for "pecuniary loss" to account for the fact that he was a member of the trust's final salary pension scheme.Link to article
