Maternity Leave: Contact / KIT Days
Employees are not obliged to stay in touch during their maternity leave but you are entitled to make reasonable contact from time to time and must keep them informed about certain issues, such as changes proposed to their role, or promotion opportunities. Keeping-in-touch days allow employees to work for up to 10 days during their maternity leave and can be useful for employees to attend training courses, conferences or team meetings, particularly in the run-up to their return to work.
