During Paternity Leave: T's and C's
An employee’s contract of employment continues during paternity leave (unless they are dismissed or resign) and they continue to accrue continuous employment. Employees are not entitled to their normal pay during paternity leave (unless you provide otherwise) but they may qualify for statutory paternity pay. However, they should continue to receive certain benefits during paternity leave. If a redundancy situation arises during an employee’s paternity leave, you should treat them in the same way as other employees.
