Parental Leave: Entitlement
Eligible employees can take up to 18 weeks’ unpaid parental leave per child aged up to 18 for the purpose of caring for that child. Only employees are eligible for parental leave: other types of workers are not. To qualify, an employee must have at least one year’s continuous employment with you; have parental responsibilities for the child; give you a certain amount of notice of the leave; and provide reasonable evidence of their entitlement if you request it.
